Job summary

• Heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Desirable but not essential: Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Able to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families.

• Permanent Part-time/Casual position
• Pay rate – $33.20 per hour + superannuation
• Not for profit employer so pay less tax!

As a member of the Catering team at Holy Spirit Casula, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About the Role:

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required

• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
