Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited Holy Spirit, Dubbo facility is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join our hospitality team. The role supports daily food services and may include housekeeping shifts, delivering a warm, respectful dining experience for residents.

• $33.20 base rate + superannuation + Not for profit benefits
• Casual shifts available - must have 3 days availability minimum

Holy Spirit, Dubbo, a Residential Aged Care home, is seeking a reliable and caring Catering Assistant who may be open to a Housekeeping shift also to join our friendly hospitality team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll support daily food services and help create a positive dining experience for our residents.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with meal preparation, plating, and service
• Maintaining kitchen, servery, and dining area cleanliness
• Following food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards
• Supporting residents with warm, respectful meal service
• Working collaboratively with chefs and care team

About you:

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) - desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
• Ability to work flexible casual shifts
