Job summary

Catholic Healthcare in Mullumbimby is seeking a dedicated Catering team member to provide high quality resident meals and dining service, enhancing quality of life for seniors.

You will join a not-for-profit organisation, work in a supportive team, and help maintain food safety, cleanliness and compassionate care across shifts. Training and flexible hours available, with additional leave benefits for long service.

Qualifications

• Compassionate care for the elderly.
• Strong communication and positive attitude.
• Food safety knowledge and kitchen cleanliness.
• Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable but not essential.
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain.

As a member of the Catering team, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About The Role

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) - desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
