Job summary

Scalabrini Communities is seeking a casual Catering Assistant (Kitchen Hand) in Chipping Norton to support the Executive Chef with on-site meal production for residents. You will handle food prep, plating, and service, ensuring a welcoming dining experience in a respectful aged care setting.

We value a great attitude, reliable teamwork, and flexibility to cover AM/PM shifts on weekdays and weekends. Prior kitchen experience and a Certificate III in Hospitality are desirable, with training

Qualifications

Experience in food preparation within a commercial kitchen, preferably in aged care or health services.
Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a supportive care setting.

Responsibilities

The preparation and service of high-quality, nutritious meals for residents on-site.
Food preparation, basic cooking, food presentation and plating, and food delivery/service to dining areas.
Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring residents receive a warm welcome and individualised attention.
Complying with food safety standards and relevant regulations.
Assisting with stock control, rotation of stock, and receipting deliveries.
Contributing to a harmonious team culture based on mutual respect and trust.
