Job summary

Cater Care is hiring at Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane for a permanent part-time catering role in an aged care site. You will prepare and serve meals, deliver friendly service, and support daily kitchen operations with a resident-focused approach.

Shifts are evenings 4:30 pm–8:00 pm, three days per week, with opportunities to pick up additional hours and shifts. Competitive pay in line with the Hospitality Industry Award, onsite parking, public transport access, and employee benefits including

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, food service or kitchen role, ideally in an aged care setting.
• Caring, resident-focused approach and genuine interest in supporting older Australians.
• Good communication and customer service skills with a hands-on approach to kitchen duties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to take extra shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals with care, helping residents enjoy a positive dining experience.
• Deliver friendly, attentive service, ensuring residents feel welcomed, respected and valued.
• Assist with food preparation and meal service, responding to residents’ needs with care.
• Support daily kitchen operations, including dishwashing, cleaning and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
• Work independently and collaboratively to ensure the smooth delivery of daily catering services.
• Contribute to a welcoming, resident-focused environment where quality food and thoughtful service make a difference.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a catering, food service or kitchen role, ideally in an aged care or healthcare setting
• A caring, resident-focused approach and a genuine interest in supporting older Australians
• Good communication and customer service skills, with a hands-on approach to kitchen duties
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work additional shifts when available
• A willingness to obtain a National Police Check and maintain a current flu vaccination, as required for the role
