Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a casual catering team member in Darlinghurst to deliver high-quality dining services for residents. You will assist with meal preparation, serve meals, and help ensure an exceptional dining experience in a compassionate aged-care environment.

Ideal candidates have a heart for elderly care, strong communication, and a positive attitude. Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable, with a focus on food safety and hygiene, and a willingness to obtain checks

As a member of the Catering team at Vincentian Aged care, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About The Role

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
