Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking casual catering staff to provide high-quality dining services to residents at Blakeney Lodge in NSW. You will assist with meal preparation and serve meals, ensuring a warm, respectful dining experience.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassionate care for residents, with a competitive pay rate and benefits offered to eligible employees. Training and supportive supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing high quality care to the elderly.
• Strong communication and a positive attitude.
• Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.

As a member of the Catering team at Blakeney Lodge , you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About the Role:

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
