Spotless is seeking Casual Catering Assistants to support the Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre’s kitchen, assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious meals, while upholding a safe, efficient catering environment and the wellbeing of residents.

Responsibilities include assembling and producing food per directions, cleaning areas and equipment, and ensuring HACCP compliance. Australian federal police check and medical assessment are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Bulk cooking experience similar to aged care or resources backgrounds.
• Has a Certificate II Kitchen Operations or willing to undertake this course.
• Food Safety Certificates and HACCP knowledge.

• Ensure all kitchen equipment is operated following safe work procedures, maintained in a clean and safe condition.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
