The Lottery Corporation in Sydney is seeking a Category Specialist to drive sourcing, supplier management and category planning across indirect spend categories. You will work with key stakeholders to deliver sourcing activities, manage supplier performance and provide commercial insights.

You’ll lead sourcing events for software, cloud, telecommunications and IT services, support category planning with spend analysis, and ensure compliant contracting.

Qualifikationen

• Exposure to software, cloud, telecom or IT services is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce; CIPS certification desirable.

The Category Specialist supports sourcing, supplier management and category planning across a range of indirect spend categories. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll deliver sourcing activities, manage supplier performance, provide commercial insights and help drive value, cost efficiencies and risk management while building your procurement and category management expertise.

What you’ll do

Lead sourcing, quotation and contract renewal activities across a broad technology portfolio including software, cloud, telecommunications, hardware, AI and security.

Support category planning through spend analysis, market research and supplier evaluations to identify value and savings opportunities.

Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews and contract obligations to drive strong commercial outcomes.

Partner with key stakeholders to provide procurement advice and deliver compliant sourcing and contracting processes.

Track procurement outcomes, maintain sourcing pipelines and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring

3‑5 years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management or supplier management.

Proven experience supporting sourcing events, supplier negotiations, contract renewals and procurement projects.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Exposure to technology spend categories such as software, telecommunications, cloud, networks, cyber security or IT services is highly regarded.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field, with CIPS (or similar) certification desirable.
