Job summary

Veolia Australia & New Zealand in Sydney is seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our Pyrmont team and manage the heavy vehicles spare parts procurement category. This hands-on, autonomous role partners with fleet and operations to understand business needs, collect and analyse data, identify opportunities and deliver commercial value through effective sourcing and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, heavy vehicles, automotive, spare parts or a related commercial environment.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong organisation and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong relationship-building and communication with stakeholders across procurement, fleet, finance and operations.
• Clear, adaptable communication; tertiary qualification and procurement certification desirable.

• Develop and implement category strategies for operational requirements and value.
• Identify cost savings through data analysis, process improvements, and sustainability.

The Opportunity

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, heavy vehicles,, automotive, spare parts or a related commercial environment is desirable
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
• Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work confidently with stakeholders across procurement, fleet, finance and operations
• Strong analytical and commercial capability, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into practical procurement opportunities
• Clear and adaptable communication skills, with the ability to engage with both operational and corporate stakeholders
• Tertiary qualification and professional procurement certification (desirable)
