Job summary

Premier Fresh Australia is seeking a Category Manager based in Footscray or Epping, Victoria. This role leads commercial performance for selected product categories, builds strong grower and customer relationships, and negotiates pricing and supply agreements to drive growth.

We're looking for a experienced fresh produce professional with 5+ years in sales, account management or category management, plus a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or Agriculture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Sales Representative, Account Management, Category Management or leadership role within the fresh produce industry.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and business development skills.
• Solid understanding of fresh produce seasonality and supply chain requirements.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance and profitability of assigned product categories.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with growers, suppliers, and key customers.
• Negotiating pricing, supply agreements, and other commercial arrangements.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to drive category growth and improve margins.
• Monitoring market trends, availability, and pricing to support informed decision-making.
• Supporting forecasting, procurement, and supply planning activities.
• Collaborating with Quality and Operations teams to ensure product and service standards are maintained.
