Job summary

Petstock Group is seeking a highly organised Category Coordinator to support the Merchandise team in delivering category strategies, product launches, promotions, supplier partnerships, and commercial outcomes.

You'll work with Inventory, Marketing, eCommerce, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive results for customers, stores, and supplier partners. Strong data accuracy and Excel skills are essential to manage data and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Category Coordinator, Buying Assistant, Merchandise Assistant, or Category Support role.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate category plans, product ranges, and commercial initiatives.
• Maintain product, pricing, promotional, supplier, and master data across systems.
• Coordinate new product launches, updates, discontinuations, and ensure online content is current.
• Liaise between suppliers and internal stakeholders to build strong relationships.
• Coordinate end-to-end promotional activity and store communications.
• Prepare, analyse, and distribute sales, margin, inventory, pricing, and supplier reports.

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Category Coordinator to join our Merchandise team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of category strategies, product launches, promotions, supplier partnerships, and commercial outcomes across our business.

You'll make a meaningful impact by helping to ensure the seamless execution of category plans, promotional programs, product lifecycle management, supplier communications, and reporting activities.

You'll work closely with teams across Inventory, Marketing, eCommerce, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to help deliver exceptional results for our customers, stores, and supplier partners.

• Support Category Managers with the day-to-day coordination and administration of category plans, product ranges, and commercial initiatives.
• Maintain accurate product, pricing, promotional, supplier, and master data across internal systems and online channels.
• Coordinate new product launches, product updates, discontinuations, and ensure online content is current and engaging.
• Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships across Marketing, Ecommerce, Supply Chain, Finance, and Retail Operations.
• Coordinate end-to-end promotional activity, including catalogues, ticketing, signage, supplier submissions, and store communications.
• Prepare, analyse, and distribute sales, margin, inventory, pricing, and supplier performance reports to support commercial decision-making.
• Identify category trends, risks, and opportunities, while supporting pricing management, promotional claims, and category performance improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement by resolving operational issues, streamlining processes, and supporting the implementation of new systems and business initiatives.
