Job summary

PETstock Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a highly organised Category Coordinator to join our Merchandise team. You will support category strategies, product launches, promotions, supplier partnerships and commercial outcomes.

• Previous experience in a Category Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support category managers with day-to-day coordination of category plans, product ranges, promotions and commercial initiatives.
• Coordinate new product launches, updates and discontinuations, and ensure online content is current and engaging.
• Prepare, analyse and distribute sales, margin, inventory, pricing and supplier performance reports to support decision-making.
• Identify category trends, risks and opportunities, and support pricing management and promotional activity.
• Drive continuous improvement by resolving operational issues and supporting new systems and initiatives.

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Category Coordinator to join our Merchandise team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of category strategies, product launches, promotions, supplier partnerships, and commercial outcomes across our business.

• You’ll make a meaningful impact by helping to ensure the seamless execution of category plans, promotional programs, product lifecycle management, supplier communications, and reporting activities.
• You’ll work closely with teams across Inventory, Marketing, eCommerce, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to help deliver exceptional results for our customers, stores, and supplier partners.
• Support Category Managers with the day-to-day coordination and administration of category plans, product ranges, and commercial initiatives.
• Maintain accurate product, pricing, promotional, supplier, and master data across internal systems and online channels.
• Coordinate new product launches, product updates, discontinuations, and ensure online content is current and engaging.
• Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships across Marketing, Ecommerce, Finance, and Retail Operations.
• Coordinate end-to-end promotional activity, including catalogues, ticketing, signage, supplier submissions, and store communications.
• Prepare, analyse, and distribute sales, margin, inventory, pricing, and supplier performance reports to support commercial decision-making.
• Identify category trends, risks, and opportunities, while supporting pricing management, promotional claims, and category performance improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement by resolving operational issues, streamlining processes, and supporting the implementation of new systems and business initiatives.

• Previous experience in a Category Coordinator, Buying Assistant, Merchandise Assistant, Category Support role.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability.

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
