Job summary

Petstock Group in Melbourne is seeking a passionate team member to deliver exceptional customer service and pet care advice. You will help create memorable store experiences, educate customers, and maintain engaging product displays while supporting a safe, fun team culture.

Qualifications

• Passion for animals and providing excellent customer service.
• Experience in a similar retail environment preferred.
• Willingness to learn about pet care and products to advise customers.
• Ability to lift products up to 20 kg and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and memorable interactions with customers.
• Educate customers on best care and products for their pets.
• Complete sales transactions and help reach store sales goals.
• Maintain high store presentation, stock display, and replenishment.
• Stay up to date on pet care knowledge and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Support a safe work environment and collaborate with teammates.

A Peek Into Your Petstock Day

• Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
• Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
• Complete memorable sales transactions, aiming to reach set store sales goals
• Maintain a consistently high standard of store presentation while ensuring that new stock is promptly and accurately displayed whilst also ensuring we are replenishing our stock
• Demonstrate initiative by actively keeping your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services current
• Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work each and every day
• Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

• A passion for animals and providing the best customer service
• Experience in a similar retail environment
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales target
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and the team
• Physically fit, with ability to lift products up to 20kgs
• Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of horses and livestock preferred
