Job summary

PJ SAS Trading is seeking a proactive Category Assistant to support Buying and Marketing in a family-owned wholesale environment. You will assist with buying administration, supplier communication, packaging artwork and shipment coordination, while gaining exposure to product selection and range planning.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in administration or buying support, merchandising or product coordination.
• Strong Excel and pricing data handling skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail with reliable follow-through.
• Clear communication and ability to ask questions and clarify requirements.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Raise and issue purchase orders and monitor progress with suppliers.
• Support range development and reviews by assessing product fit.
• Assist with product research, pricing checks and sales analysis.
• Coordinate with international suppliers on specs, samples and timelines.
• Manage packaging briefs, artwork proofs and product information accuracy.
• Collate shipping documents and liaise with freight forwarders and warehouse.
• Track outstanding information and deadlines to keep orders moving.
