Care Pharmaceuticals seeks a Category Analytics Assistant to support the Head of Category ANZ and the wider team with accurate preparation, maintenance and interpretation of category, channel, shopper and customer data.
You will prepare and maintain weekly and monthly dashboards, track sales, market share and promotional performance, and assist with range reviews, customer meetings and forecasting inputs to drive decisions.

The Category Analytics Assistant supports the Head of Category ANZ and broader Category team through accurate preparation, maintenance and interpretation of category, channel, shopper and customer data. This role provides the analytical foundation that enables insight-led decision making across range reviews, customer presentations, business reviews, promotional evaluations, data governance, forecasting inputs and category strategy development.
Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly category, channel and brand performance dashboards.
Track sales, market share, distribution, rate of sale, promotional performance and customer performance.
Compile and update recurring reports using market, customer, shopper and internal data sources.
Convert raw data into clear tables, charts and summaries that support commercial decision making.
Support data cleansing, validation and quality checks across IQVIA, Quantium, retailer scan data, customer data, internal sales data and Excel reporting files.
Maintain naming conventions, category hierarchies, product classifications, brand groupings, pack formats and SKU mapping files.
Identify data gaps, inconsistencies or unusual movements and escape to the Head of Category or relevant team member.
Support analysis of market trends, category growth drivers, shopper behaviour and channel performance.
Assist in identifying key movements in sales, market share, distribution, pricing, promotional activity and competitor performance.
Prepare supporting analysis for range reviews, customer business reviews, joint business planning and category strategy projects.
Summarise data into clear insights, implications and recommended actions.
Assist in building insight-led customer presentation materials for retailer meetings, range reviews and category reviews.
Prepare charts, tables and supporting data points for sell-in stories, range submissions and activation recommendations.
Support post-promotional evaluations by compiling sales performance, promotional uplift, distribution change and rate of sale analysis.
Assist with data inputs required for category forecasting, demand planning and NPD performance tracking.
Track NPD performance post-launch against distribution build, sales performance, rate of sale and market penetration assumptions.
Maintain historical benchmarks to support future forecasting assumptions.
Use Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI-enabled tools to support category reporting, analysis, presentation development and workflow efficiency.
Apply AI tools responsibly to assist with data summarisation, insight generation, first-draft commentary, report automation, presentation storylines and quality checking.
Build capability in key data platforms including IQVIA, Quantium and other relevant market or customer data sources.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate or improve recurring reporting processes while maintaining data accuracy, confidentiality and human review of AI-assisted outputs.
Maintain shared folders, reporting trackers, templates and category reference documents with agreed file naming and version control.
Assist with data inputs required for category forecasting, demand planning and NPD performance tracking.
Track NPD performance post-launch against distribution build, sales performance, rate of sale and market penetration assumptions.
Maintain historical benchmarks to support future forecasting assumptions.
Work closely with the Head of Category ANZ, Retail Activation Managers, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Provide analytical support for monthly business reviews, annual planning, customer projects, brand planning and commercial initiatives.
Respond to internal data requests in a timely and professional manner.
1 to 3 years’ experience in category, sales analytics, commercial analysis, data analysis, retail analytics, FMCG, consumer healthcare or a related commercial support role.
Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning, charts and structured reporting.
Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to turn data into clear, concise and visually effective slides.
High attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work with large datasets and identify trends, exceptions and commercial implications.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage recurring reporting deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with sales, category, marketing and finance stakeholders.
Interest in FMCG, consumer healthcare, pharmacy, grocery and retail category management.
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance or a related field.
Experience using IQVIA, Quantium, Aztec, Circana, Nielsen, retailer scan data or similar category data platforms.
Experience in pharmacy, grocery, consumer healthcare, OTC, FMCG or retail environments.
Experience preparing customer presentations, dashboards or business review materials.
Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot or other data visualisation tools.
Experience supporting range reviews, promotional analysis, NPD tracking or market share reporting.
Understanding of category management principles including range, space, pricing, promotion, distribution and shopper insights.
Experience maintaining master data files, product hierarchies or SKU mapping tables.
