Guild Insurance Limited in Australia is seeking an accomplished Head of Casualty Claims to lead our complex long-tail portfolio, including professional indemnity, public liability and products liability. You will shape strategy, drive technical leadership across coverage, litigation, reserving and settlements, and elevate portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within general insurance casualty claims across complex long-tail claims or portfolios.
• Accountability for performance and direction of a claims function, including developing leaders and setting standards.
• Deep expertise across professional indemnity, public liability, products liability and other high-value liability matters.

Responsabilités

• Lead the strategy, performance and continued development of the Casualty Claims function.
• Provide technical leadership across complex liability, coverage, litigation, reserving and settlement matters.
• Strengthen early intervention, triage and management of long-tail claims and portfolios.
• Improve portfolio performance through disciplined claims management and cost controls.
• Develop leadership and technical capability within the team and establish clear decision-making standards.
• Partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal, Finance, Risk and Reinsurance to identify risks and support outcomes.
