Job summary

Transformed Futures' Carbrook Centre in Logan City, QLD is seeking a Wellbeing and Learning Facilitator on a casual basis to support Year 7-12 students with disengagement and complex support needs. You will work alongside students during the school day, assist with regulation, relationships and learning through activities including outdoor spaces and animal assisted learning.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, or current study, in education, youth work, disability, community services or a related field.
• Experience working with young people, particularly those with complex support needs.
• Ability to obtain current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, trusting and consistent relationships with students.
• Provide individual wellbeing, learning and engagement support, including positive mentoring and role modelling.
• Support students to participate in classroom, outdoor, practical and animal assisted learning activities.
• Use NME, animal assisted learning and Collaborative Problem Solving to support regulation, relationships and reasoning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider student support team to contribute to a positive school community.
