Job summary

Manly 16Ft Skiff & St George Sailing Club is seeking a Casual Events Coordinator to manage the full event journey from enquiry to finalisation. You’ll work with our Events Operations team to translate client visions into memorable outcomes at our iconic waterfront venue.

You’ll build relationships with clients, guide them through spaces, menus and inclusions, and balance sales with meticulous planning and execution. RSA required or willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in events coordination or similar.
• Strong sales skills and ability to convert enquiries into bookings.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• RSA certificate (current) or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with event management systems, Microsoft Office and Canva.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound event enquiries and converting opportunities into confirmed bookings.
• Conducting venue tours and meeting with prospective clients.
• Building strong client relationships from initial enquiry through to event day.
• Understanding each client’s vision and recommending the right event format, menus, beverages and inclusions.
• Coordinating the planning and finalisation of weddings, celebrations, corporate events, conferences and Club events.
• Preparing event proposals, function details, run sheets and floorplans.
• Communicating all event requirements clearly with our Events Operations, kitchen and management teams.
