Job summary

Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking a Waste Facility Team Member for its Waste and Recycling Centres across Bemboka, Bermagui, Candelo, Eden, Merimbula, Wallagoot and Frogs Hollow. These seasonal casual roles involve assisting at the facility, handling customer queries, collecting fees and maintaining records.

You will operate landfill plant or related earthmoving equipment, perform cash handling, and provide friendly service to visitors while keeping the site safe and well-presented.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar waste facility role.
• Experience operating landfill plant or similar earthmoving equipment.
• Ability to perform cash handling procedures and customer liaison.

Responsibilities

• Maintain waste facility operations: customer liaison, fee collection, waste transfer, and records.
• Greet customers, inspect waste, collect payments, issue receipts, and manage site inventories.
