Job summary

The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW is looking for casual Warehouse Production Hand at the Return and Earn facility in Wagga Wagga. Responsibilities include sorting recyclable containers, operating a semi‑automated sorter, and processing POS transactions with accuracy and integrity.

On‑the‑job training provided; a current Forklift Licence is desirable. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle manual tasks, and contribute to a supportive, values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence.
• Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment.
• Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently.
• Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers.
• Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers.
• Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions.
• Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
