Job summary

Warehouse Academy is assisting with recruitment for a Machine Operator role in Marrickville, NSW. You will operate and maintain a variety of metalworking machines to produce high-quality metal products, including tables, racks and brackets, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Working days are Mon-Fri with 38 hours per week; casual rate starts at around $33+ per hour with potential to convert to a full-time permanent position. Start ASAP, on-site in Marrickville.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator in the metal industry.
• Proficiency with metalworking machinery and techniques.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare metalworking machines (lathes, milling machines, grinders, presses, CNC) for production.
• Operate machinery to shape, cut, form or assemble metal components.
• Monitor operations and inspect products for accuracy and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance: cleaning, lubrication and part replacement.
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe workplace.
• Communicate production updates and issues with the team.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and material inconsistencies.
• Maintain production records and machine settings.
