Job summary

Simply Helping Northern Tasmania is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our growing team. You will provide personalised care and assistance to individuals in their own homes, helping them live independently with dignity.

Key responsibilities include personal care, daily living activities, transport, shopping and appointments, and domestic tasks. Mandatory checks include NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children’s Check, First Aid & CPR, and a valid driver’s licence

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Home and Community Care (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine empathy, compassion, and respect for individuals with diverse needs.
• Reliability, trustworthiness, and a vehicle suitable for travel up to 40 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care tailored to each service user’s needs.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and community access.
• Provide transport and support with shopping and appointments.
• Deliver domestic assistance such as cleaning and household tasks.

• Deliver domestic assistance such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and general household tasks
• Build warm, trusting relationships that promote independence and wellbeing

What You Bring

• Minimum Certificate III in Home and Community Care (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in home care or a related field (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Genuine empathy, compassion, and respect for individuals with diverse needs
• Reliability, trustworthiness, and a vehicle suitable for travel up to 40 minutes
• Flexibility to meet the varying needs of Service Users

Mandatory Requirements
