MSS Security Pty Ltd is seeking Casual Security Officers to join our team at Monash University in Clayton. Duties include patrolling, escorts, and securing campus facilities. You will write incident reports and maintain clear communication with staff, students and visitors.

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, a professional presentation, and the ability to walk long distances on campus. Full Australian working rights and relevant licenses are required.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking Casual Security Officers to join our team at Monash University in Clayton. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and buildings are secure.
• Escort individuals to and from various locations around the site as required.
• Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required.
• Provide clear directions and assistance to students, staff and visitors to ensure they can navigate the campus efficiently.
• Write reports in response to incidents or unusual activity, ensuring all information is documented.
• Communicate calmly, clearly and effectively with staff, students, and visitors.

Ideal candidates will have

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional presentation.
• Ability to walk up to 15-20km a day.

Requirements

• Full Australian working rights.
• Control Room Endorsement.
• Valid Victorian Security licence.
• Valid Victorian Drivers licence with no restrictions.
• Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain).
• First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
• Master Licence Number: 409-987-30S
