You’ll work across 24/7 rosters, provide First Aid/CPR when required, and must hold QLD Security Licence with Crowd Control Function. Uniform provided, paid training, supportive team, and opportunities for long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Current QLD Security Licence + Crowd Control Function
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional presentation and high level of integrity
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
• Reliability and a proactive attitude
• Driver’s Licence and own transport (preferred)
• Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional customer service
• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and ensure safety
• Patrol retail areas and monitor CCTV for suspicious activity
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and medical situations
• Apply First Aid and CPR when required
• Manage access to restricted areas and loading docks
• Handle conflicts calmly using de-escalation techniques
• Prepare accurate incident reports and security logs

While guards are generally rostered within Ipswich and surrounding areas, flexibility is essential as shifts may be offered across nearby sites. From busy shopping centres to smaller retail hubs, this casual role offers variety, consistent hours, and the support of a strong team.
