Nisbets Australia is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for our South Melbourne Store. This casual role offers shifts as needed across weekdays, typically between 9am and 5pm.

You will provide exemplary service, assist customers with purchasing decisions, and support stock management. The successful candidate will have customer-facing experience, some knowledge of catering equipment, and familiarity with POS systems.

Qualifications

• Customer facing role experience in retail or similar
• Catering equipment/technical product knowledge desirable
• Experience with POS systems and/or warehouse/inventory systems
• Driven with willingness to learn new tasks
• Enjoys building rapport with customers and team members

Responsabilités

• Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate sales techniques to help customers make informed purchases
• Perform daily stock and merchandising duties
• Operate till and manage sales transactions
• Update and develop store databases
• Answer phone calls and handle sales queries, orders, and quotations
• Receive and check deliveries and merchandise replenishment stock

We have over 60,000 customers nationally and sell kitchen and catering equipment and supplies across Australia & New Zealand, across all sectors. We are currently accepting applications for a RetailSales Assistant, based in ourSouth Melbourne Store. This will be a true casual opportunity, with potential shifts offered on an as needed basis across weekdays, between 9am and 5pm.

As a Sales Assistant, you will provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers to maximise their experience. You will be a team player, providing support in maintaining the upkeep of the store and replenishmentof our stock.

THE ROLE

The key focus areas of the role include:

• Greeting customers and providing exceptional customer service
• Demonstrating sales techniques to support our customers in making an informed purchasing decision
• Daily stock and merchandising duties
• Dealing with all aspects of till operation
• Update and develop the Store databases
• Answering telephone, sales queries, placement of orders for direct delivery, quotations
• Receiving, checking off and merchandising deliveries of replenishment stock
• Champion our Nisbets Core Values
