Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and help create an inspiring in-store experience for customers and the community.

You will handle Point of Sale operations, sort and prepare donations, support visual merchandising, and deliver friendly service while upholding our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity. The role requires flexibility for a weekend roster across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience is desirable but not essential.
• Alignment with TSA values: integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, diversity.
• High energy, customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

About You:

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential.
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results.
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand‑on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
