Job summary

The Salvation Army in Logan, Queensland is seeking a casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and deliver an inspiring in-store experience for customers and the community. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will handle point-of-sale transactions, donate sorting, pricing, visual merchandise, and outstanding customer service with Saturday shifts and roster flexibility across the retail area.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver friendly, confident service aligned with values.

Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices.
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Display stock in correct departments per policy.

About The Role

An opportunity for a talented, values‑driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day‑to‑day operations and contribute to an inspiring in‑store experience for our team, customers and community members. Reporting to the Store Manager(s), this is a casual role located in Logan, Queensland, with a primary focus on Saturday shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Provide exceptional Customer Service
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities.

About You

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results.
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand‑on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
• Availability to work Saturdays
