Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations and create an engaging in-store experience for customers and the community. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is based in Cootamundra, NSW, with a casual roster including weekends.

Key responsibilities include handling Point of Sale devices, sorting and pricing donations, assisting with merchandising, and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding TSA values.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Willingness to work across locations in the retail area including weekends.

About The Role

An opportunity for a talented, values-driven Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

Reporting to the Store Manager, this is a casual role, located in Cootamundra, NSW.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation
• Provide exceptional Customer Service
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities.

About You

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results.
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
