Job summary

Hop To It Collective Pty Ltd in Woolloongabba is seeking a Casual Chef to join Electric Avenue & Mrs J Rabbits. You’ll work 2–4 days a week with extra shifts around Gabba event days and busy periods.

You’ll run a section during service under the Head Chef and Sous Chef, assist with prep and help keep tickets moving when the kitchen is busy. Local by proximity or willing to travel to Woolloongabba, no agency applications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen (pub/club or busy restaurant)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred but strong experience will be considered
• Comfortable running a section during a busy service
• Availability across nights, weekends and public holidays with event-day flexibility

Responsibilities

• Run a section during service (grill, fryer or larder) and keep food consistent and on time
• Prepping and setting up your section before service
• Follow recipes, specs and portion sizes as set by Head Chef
• Keep station clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and waste control
• Pitch in on event days and busy services when the kitchen needs it
