Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking a motivated Lifeguard to help maintain a safe, welcoming aquatic environment at our Victoria centres. This casual role involves supervising the pool area, proactive safety monitoring, enforcing facility rules, and educating users about safe practices.

Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
• Experience in the Aquatics and Leisure industry is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Supervising a large aquatic space while proactively ensuring a safe environment.
• Maintaining focused observation of pools and Patrons to anticipate problems.
• Educating facility users about safe aquatic practices and enforcing rules.
• Intervening to ensure safety and wellbeing of patrons and equipment.
