Job summary

Sensible Care is seeking a casual Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a client in Mount Barker, South Australia. Start times after 10:00 am, shifts on Tuesday 2 hours, Wednesday 3 hours and Friday 2 hours.

You will provide personal care, daily living support, companionship, and light household tasks while following the care plan and upholding wellbeing. A driver’s licence and car insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a PCA or in aged/disability care.
• Holds an Individual Support or Aged Care qualification.
• Has Australian Driver's Licence and comprehensive car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance according to the client's needs.

About the Role

Sensible Care is looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a client in Mount Barker, South Australia.

This is a great opportunity for a PCA who enjoys providing personalised, respectful, and practical support to clients in their own homes.

The available shifts are approximately:

• Tuesday: 2 hours
• Wednesday: 3 hours
• Friday: 2 hours

Start times are flexible and can be scheduled anytime after 10:00 am.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide personal care assistance according to the client's needs
• Support with daily living activities and personal routines
• Provide companionship and respectful social support
• Assist with light household tasks as required
• Support the client to maintain their independence and wellbeing
• Follow the client's care plan and support requirements
• Observe and report any changes in the client's needs or wellbeing
• Communicate respectfully with the client, family, and Sensible Care team
• Follow health, safety, and infection-control requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or in aged care, disability, or community care
• Holds a relevant Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent qualification
• Has experience providing personal care
• Is caring, patient, reliable, and respectful
• Is comfortable providing support in a client's home
• Is available to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
• Holds a current Australian driver's licence
• Has comprehensive car insurance and access to a reliable vehicle
