Job summary

Sensible Care is seeking a casual Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a client in Mount Barker, South Australia. Start times after 10:00 am, shifts on Tuesday 2 hours, Wednesday 3 hours and Friday 2 hours.

You will provide personal care, daily living support, companionship, and light household tasks while following the care plan and upholding wellbeing. A driver’s licence and car insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a PCA or in aged/disability care.
• Holds an Individual Support or Aged Care qualification.
• Has Australian Driver's Licence and comprehensive car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance according to the client's needs.
• Support with daily living activities and routines.
• Provide companionship and respectful social support.
• Assist with light household tasks as required.
• Support the client to maintain independence and wellbeing.
• Follow the client's care plan and requirements.
• Observe and report changes in the client's needs or wellbeing.
• Communicate respectfully with client, family and Sensible Care team.
• Follow health, safety and infection-control requirements.
