Special Broadcasting Service Corporation in Sydney is seeking a Casual World News Technical Coordinator to support SBS World News by coordinating technical requirements and ensuring content is accurate and ready for broadcast.

This part-time, on-site role in the Artarmon newsroom involves a 51-hour fortnight on a rotating roster across weekdays, evenings, weekends, with potential shift penalties and overtime in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a TV news, broadcast or newsroom environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work calmly and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
• Experience with broadcast technology, media workflows or quality control.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing bulletin content, graphics and technical elements before broadcast.
• Supporting the Supervising Producer to ensure accurate and timely delivery of news content.
• Coordinating live crosses and managing last-minute changes.
• Completing final quality checks on media, audio and graphics.
• Working closely with newsroom and broadcast teams to support smooth bulletin operation.
