Job summary

South Gippsland Shire Council is expanding its casual outdoor workforce to support maintenance of roads infrastructure, bridges, drains, culverts, storm water and footpaths across Leongatha, Foster and other shire locations. You’ll join a team focused on safety and quality in a rural regional setting.

The role offers pay at $43.70 per hour plus 12% superannuation, with flexible days and ongoing training on council systems.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to undertake labouring work.
• Experience in a similar role and safe operation of plant/equipment preferred.
• Current driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of roads infrastructure, bridges, drains, major culverts, storm water and footpaths across the shire.
• Operate basic plant/equipment as directed and comply with safety procedures.
