Job summary

ISLHD in New South Wales seeks enthusiastic Nursing Students (entering 2nd or 3rd year in 2027) to join the Casual Nurse Pool as Assistants in Nursing (AINs). This role offers valuable hands-on clinical experience while balancing academic commitments and a flexible shift pattern.

Casual pool staff work a minimum of six shifts per quarter across a range of clinical areas and shifts, with excellent opportunities to grow professionally within the health district.

Qualifications

• Must be a Nursing student entering 2nd or 3rd year in 2027.
• Demonstrated compassion and enthusiasm for clinical learning.
• Commitment to flexible casual shifts and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Join Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital Casual Nurse Pool as an Assistant in Nursing.
• Maintain CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment in all interactions.
• Work a minimum of six shifts per quarter to maintain active employment.
• Contribute to emergency, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic care as part of the pool.
• Provide hands-on clinical support under supervision to gain experience while balancing study commitments.

Education

HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent

2-3 Year Undergraduate Nursing Student
