Gardens Medical Group in Albury, NSW is hiring casual Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our busy general practice nursing team. This role is ideal for nursing students who have completed at least their first year and want hands-on clinical experience while completing their qualification.

You will work alongside Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, GPs and Allied Health Professionals, gaining exposure to a broad primary care environment and developing practical skills to complement your studies

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in approved nursing qualification with at least first year completed.
• Hold Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Hold Professional Indemnity Insurance or be willing to obtain it.
• Demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be reliable, organised and able to work well in a team.
• Be willing to undertake training and competency assessment.
• Be comfortable using computer systems and clinical software.

Aufgaben

• Perform patient observations: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight.
• Assist with ECGs and nursing procedures.
• Perform blood glucose testing and urinalysis.
• Assist with spirometry testing.
• Provide basic wound care and dressings within scope.
• Set up and manage Holter monitors and 24-hour BP monitors.
• Assist with pre-employment medical assessments.
• Prepare patients and clinical areas for procedures.
• Support nursing staff and GPs in treatment rooms.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Clean and prepare clinical equipment and areas.
• Restock treatment rooms and monitor consumables.
• Support infection prevention and control measures.
• Provide patient assistance and escalate concerns to RN/GP.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the AIN role.
