Job summary

Port Phillip Ferries in Portarlington is seeking a Casual Marine Engineer (MED1) to support peak season, charters and cover leave for full-time staff. You will operate and maintain main and auxiliary machinery, manage stores, and liaise with the Master to ensure safety and performance on vessels in Port Phillip Bay.

The role requires either Marine Engineer Driver Grade 1+ or an AQF Diploma/Associate Degree with at least three years of relevant experience, plus a Marine Radio Operator's

Qualifications

• Candidates must have either Marine Engineer Driver Grade 1+ or an AQF Diploma/Associate Degree with at least three years of relevant experience and a Marine Radio Operator's certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain main and auxiliary machinery.
• Manage stores and inventory on vessels.
• Liaise with the Master to ensure safety and performance on vessels in Port Phillip Bay.
• Support peak season operations and cover full-time staff leave.
