Job summary

Indigo Shire Council is seeking a Casual Library Technician to join our friendly library team across Beechworth and other branches. You will help deliver welcoming customer service, support patrons with loans, digital resources and programs, and assist with day-to-day library operations.

You will bring excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach and a flexible attitude to meet changing priorities, while contributing to inclusive community spaces.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and ability to relate to the public.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Flexible approach to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service to library users.
• Assist patrons with borrowing, returns, memberships and enquiries.
• Help patrons access library resources, online services and technology.
• Support delivery of library programs and activities for all ages.
• Maintain and promote library collections.
• Contribute to safe, welcoming and inclusive library environments.
