Job summary

Excelsia University College in Pennant Hills, NSW, seeks an experienced LMS Administrator to lead Moodle/Totara support and optimize the LMS for staff and students. You will manage ExO and Turnitin, train users, configure systems, and coordinate offshore support teams, ensuring quality procedures and strong stakeholder engagement.

The role requires hands-on LMS experience in higher education, a tertiary qualification, and excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

About the Role

To be successful in this role, candidates must have demonstrated hands-on Learning Management System (LMS) administration experience, preferably with Moodle or Totara, and experience managing support operations in a higher education or similar environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME), system owner, and first point of contact in relation to the student LMS.
• Manage and support Excelsia's learning management systems (LMS), including ExO and Turnitin, and provide assistance and training to staff and students in their effective use.
• Consult with relevant staff to tailor the LMS to provide online learning content across Schools and Departments, in line with program requirements.
• Assist with maintaining quality requirements including writing and updating procedures and forms, relevant to the LMS and student systems.

Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education and/or training is desirable.

Skills and Capabilities:

• Strong technical understanding of LMS platforms, particularly Moodle and/or Totara.
• Demonstrated ability to support and enable academic staff in effectively using LMS technologies to facilitate learning, teaching and student engagement.
• Experience administering and managing Zendesk or similar ticketing platforms, including reporting, workflow management and performance monitoring.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills with a focus on user experience and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating offshore support team
