Job summary

Orange City Council’s Aquatic Centre is seeking a Casual Aquatic Programs Instructor to plan and deliver high-quality learn-to-swim lessons, ensuring safety and enjoyment for participants. The role requires organising equipment and maintaining positive classroom behaviour while coordinating with the Aquatic Programs Coordinator.

The successful candidate will hold a current Water Safety accreditation and have experience delivering learn-to-swim programs, with excellent communication skills for

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Teacher of Water Safety accreditation (Royal Lifesaving NSW or AUSTSWIM)
• Experience in planning and delivering learn-to-swim programs
• Strong verbal and written communication with the public and students

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high quality learn-to-swim lessons within the program timetable
• Organise, set-up and pack up equipment for lessons and report faults
• Manage the behaviour and safety of learn-to-swim students in classes
