Job summary

TAFE Queensland on the Gold Coast (Ashmore campus) is seeking a Casual Landscape Construction Teacher to share industry knowledge and practical skills in a hands-on learning environment. You will mentor students, deliver vocational education, and help shape future landscape professionals.

You will teach across classroom, practical, workplace and online settings, designing industry-relevant assessments and ensuring currency in practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Landscape Construction (AHC30921) or equivalent.
• TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or higher-level adult education qualification.
• Current industry skills directly relevant to landscape construction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outcome-focused vocational education and training aligned to national training packages.
• Lead engaging teaching and learning across classroom, practical, workplace and online environments.
• Design and implement industry-relevant assessment tools and practices.
• Support student progression through feedback, mentoring and inclusive teaching approaches.
• Maintain currency in landscape construction industry practices and teaching methodologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance activities.
• Promote safe work practices, sustainability and positive learning environments.
• Build strong relationships with students, industry and stakeholders.
