TAFE Queensland in Queensland is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Bricklaying and Blocklaying professionals to join the Talent Pool and contribute to practical, hands-on learning in the construction trades.

If you do not currently hold the required Training and Assessment qualification, we will support you to obtain it. The role offers a structured teaching schedule, connections with industry, and opportunities to mentor the next generation of tradespeople.

We are currently inviting expressions of interest from experienced Bricklaying and Blocklaying professionals with a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of tradespeople. Strong industry experience across areas such as residential and commercial construction, and workplace safety is highly regarded.

• Attractive Remuneration - Full-time Teacher salaries range from $92,930.03 to $116,332.13 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), plus 12.75% superannuation and a suite of employee benefits.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

• Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
• CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying or equivalent; with
• Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
• TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
• TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
• TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
• TAE50122 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
• TAE50111 TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
• TAE50211 or TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
• A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
• TAESS00024 - VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
• TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 - Assessor Skills Set or its successor; or
• Higher level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland); and
• Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
• Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
• Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
