Job summary

Y Schools Queensland is hiring a Trainer and Assessor in Construction on a permanent full‑time basis to deliver hands‑on learning programs for young people across campuses in Fortitude Valley and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering, assessing and evaluating vocational programs; providing constructive feedback; supporting student wellbeing and engagement; and maintaining compliant records within RTO systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised training and assessment credential (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110).
• National Police Check within 6 months, willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate, or capacity to obtain before delivery.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel between campuses.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, assess and evaluate vocational programs in line with training strategy and industry requirements.
• Provide timely feedback to learners and support growth mindset.
• Build relationships with students to encourage attendance and engagement.
• Collaborate with school staff to support wellbeing and achievement.
• Maintain training records in approved RTO systems and comply with privacy requirements.
• Ensure training facilities are safe and well-maintained.
