Hawkesbury City Council is seeking two casual Kennel Assistants based in Mulgrave to care for impounded animals, perform health checks, feed, clean and exercise them, and maintain the shelter.

You should be passionate about animal welfare with experience in animal handling and behavior, plus Cert II or higher in animal studies. WWCC and right to work in Australia are required, with Shelterbuddy/Companion Animal Register knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience handling animals and knowledge of animal behavior.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and basic administrative skills.

Responsabilités

• Care for impounded animals: health checks, feeding, cleaning, exercising and shelter maintenance.
• Report animal health concerns and maintain safety and welfare standards.
• Assist with shelter operations and ensure a clean, organized environment.
