Job summary

The Lancemore Hotel Group is actively hiring new customer service staff to join our friendly, professional and supportive Housekeeping team at Cleveland Estate Macedon Ranges Hotel in Victoria. This casual role offers flexible hours and training, perfect for earning extra income or starting a new career.

As a Housekeeping team member you will perform general cleaning duties, maintain security, replenish supplies, report lost property, and ensure guest rooms and corridors meet high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in high quality cleaning and customer service highly regarded.
• If new to Housekeeping, you thrive in an active and at times physically demanding role that will burn plenty of calories and keep you in shape.
• Work well independently and can self-manage your workload and quality of your rooms.
• Love a challenge, take extreme pride in your work and recognise the importance of exceptional guest service.
• Well presented and ready to rock when you come to work with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out allocated general cleaning duties, achieving established standards of cleanliness and presentation to meet guests’ needs and exceed their expectations about the cleanliness of the room areas of the hotel.
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety.
• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated to the required standard.
• Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished to the correct standards for the room type.
• Report any lost property following correct procedures.
• Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled in line with Hotel policy.
• Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment as set down in procedures manual.
• Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
• Ensure the security of keys and guest rooms at all times by adherence to security procedures. Report any suspicious persons or items to Supervisor.
• Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
• Attend to other duties as requested by Management and Supervisors
