Job summary

Healthcare Australia is seeking a compassionate Home Care Support Worker for casual roles across Terang, Camperdown and surrounding areas. You will provide in-home and community-based assistance, following Individual Care Plans, with duties spanning daily living activities, medication support, and fostering independence.

Applicants should have relevant certificates, CPR/First Aid, police check, and a valid Australian driver’s licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in safe manual handling and client transfer techniques.
• Experience in homecare or support roles preferred, with a person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-centred care in clients’ homes or community settings following Individual Care Plans.
• Assist with daily routines and personal care including hygiene and meals.
• Support with medications as per care plans and training.
• Respond promptly to health changes by contacting emergency services, HC A, or supervisor.
• Create a safe home environment and follow behavior support plans.
• Encourage participation in activities and accompany clients to appointments and events.
