Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions Australia is seeking a Graduate Agronomist based at our Wynyard branch to learn by doing and support agronomy across North West Tasmania.

You’ll work with experienced agronomists on paddock work, grower support, deliveries, store operations, testing and sample collection, building confidence in the field.

Ideal candidates are studying or recently completed in agriculture, with a hands-on approach, a current driver’s licence and a willingness to learn with the local team.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently completed a relevant agriculture, agronomy or crop science qualification.
• Curious, hands-on approach and willingness to learn from experienced agronomists.
• Confidence outdoors and in paddock, testing and store-based tasks.

Responsibilities

• Shadow experienced agronomists to understand in-field advice.
• Assist with paddock work, crop inspections, seasonal activity and on-farm tasks.
• Support testing and sample collection to inform agronomy recommendations.
• Help with deliveries, branch activity and store work to understand local operations.
• Develop knowledge across crops, products, seasonal programs and customer service.

What You’ll Do:

Based from our Wynyard branch, this casual Graduate Agronomist role is all about learning by doing. You’ll work alongside experienced agronomists across North West Tasmania, gaining practical exposure to paddock work, grower support, deliveries, store operations, testing, and sample collection while building confidence in the field.

• Shadow experienced agronomists to understand how in-field advice is developed and delivered to growers
• Assist with paddock work, crop inspections, seasonal activity and general on-farm tasks
• Support testing and sample collection to help inform agronomy recommendations
• Help with deliveries, branch activity and store work to build an understanding of local agribusiness operations
• Develop knowledge across crops, products, seasonal programs and customer service while working closely with the team

What You’ll Bring:

• A genuine interest in agronomy, crops and building a career in agriculture
• Currently studying or recently completed or interested in a relevant agriculture, agronomy or crop science qualification
• A curious, hands‑on approach and willingness to learn from experienced agronomists, growers and branch teams
• Confidence working outdoors, asking questions and getting involved in practical paddock, testing and store‑based tasks
• A team‑first attitude and motivation to build local knowledge across the Wynyard and North West Tasmania region
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn systems used across agronomy and branch operations
• Current driver’s licence
