Job summary

United Pacific Engineering in Coffs Harbour, NSW, is seeking experienced Fabricators and Welders for casual roles based in our workshop. You will fabricate, assemble and weld components to meet project specifications and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a welding qualification (Certificate III or IV) and hands-on experience with carbon or stainless steel, MIG, FCAW and stick welding, plus the ability to read drawings and work instructions. Immediate start for suitable applicants.

Qualifications

• Recognised welding qualification (Certificate III or IV).
• Experience welding Carbon and/or Stainless Steels.
• Proficient in MIG, FCAW and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/instructions.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures according to drawings and specs.
• Perform welding using MIG, FCAW and stick techniques.
• Monitor work in progress to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Operate and maintain welding/fabrication equipment safely.
• Read drawings, work instructions and specs to guide fabrication.
• Prepare materials for welding/fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain tidy, safe workspace and equipment.
• Assist with fitting, positioning and final assembly as required.
