WIN Network in Newcastle is seeking a Casual ENG Camera Operator/Editor to join our News team. You will shoot and edit high-quality stories for local news and updates, covering diverse topics from environment to sport, with the autonomy to shape compelling visuals.

You will collaborate in a regional newsroom, delivering accurate reporting on time while supporting the team and learning new systems in a dynamic environment.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Casual ENG Camera Operator/Editor to join our team in Newcastle/Central Coast. Reporting to the State News Director - NBN, you will be responsible for shooting and editing high quality stories for news and updates. Working in a regional newsroom is an opportunity like no other - it is truly a rewarding experience where you will get to shoot all rounds of news.In areas such as the environment, sport, politics, you name it - you have the control to make a difference within the community.

About you:

• Demonstrated skills with both camera operation and editing
• Experience shooting interviews, sport and community activities
• A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to operate productively in a team environment, contributing positively to our operation and to working relationships
• Ability to contribute ideas, and to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
• Positive work ethic, with ability and willingness to learn new systems
• High level of creativity with the flair to ‘see’ a news story
